RESTORE AND SAVE CAPITAL CAMPAIGN
The Restore and Save Capital Campaign
For more than 126 years, St. Andrew Parish has welcomed worshippers, island families, and visitors. Today, severe erosion threatens the bluff behind our Parish Center at 22 Spring Street, putting this vital building at serious risk.
After consulting with coastal engineers, contractors, Island experts, and the Diocese, Bishop Bruce Lewandowski has approved a full Bluff Restoration Project to secure the land behind the Parish Center.
This effort will rebuild and stabilize the bluff, protect the Parish Center, support future planning, create an annual bluff maintenance fund
A View To The Future
Our goal is to protect this sacred property and Parish home for generations to come. At the same time, we recognize the uncertainty posed by climate change and rising sea levels, and the need to thoughtfully prepare for the future.
Together, we can safeguard our place of faith, fellowship, and community.
HELP US PROTECT OUR PARISH HOME
In addition to restoring and protecting the bluff, the Bishop has asked us to begin developing a long-term plan to ensure our parish can endure and prosper for generations to come. This effort will explore the feasibility of enhancing and expanding our Chapel Street church into a year-round facility capable of accommodating the ministries, gatherings, and community life that currently take place at the Parish Center should the day come when such a transition becomes necessary.
